FAQs

1. What is Biblical Plural Marriage ?

Biblical Plural Marriage involves one man and several wives - so technically, it is called polygyny, and this is what we are defining here today.
In terms of marriage itself, this is not something that occurs as the result of proper paperwork, or a certain ritual being performed by either state or church or anyone else apart from the two people marrying. Instead, marriage is established in the simple act of a man and woman becoming "one flesh". This act in itself is a covenant and binding for both.
Hence, purity is absolutely essential. Since marriage is a lifelong commitment that cannot be broken (except on the grounds of adultery), it is imperative that we promote purity, sexual purity and otherwise, in order to help bring about good, loving, lifetime partnerships that glorify God.

2. What is a sister wife ?

"Sister Wife" is a term used to describe the relationship of wives in a plural marriage relationship. It is generally considered a term of endearment.

3. Why do you want another wife ?

God wants mankind to be fruitful and to multiply, and to have dominion over the earth (Gen 1:28). We wish to follow God's will, and want our family to multiply so that we can build God's Kingdom together and be good stewards of creation. Since a husband can father many more children than one wife can bear, we believe that a lifelong marriage commitment to more than one wife is the best way for us to follow God's will.

4. Who is considered a potential wife ?

Generally speaking, God fearing single women who are not fornicators or idolaters are considered potential wives. Widows are too, if they have kept themselves pure after their first husband's death. Married women or those that broke former covenants are not considered potential wives.

5. Are you Mormons ?

No, we're not, neither are we MormAns. We are not LDS, but LWK.

6. Would you consider marrying a mother and her daughter ?

No, I would not.

"Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: IT IS WICKEDNESS." (Lev 18:17)

7. Do you have pictures to share ?

No, we don't. We value our privacy and don't trade our picture on the internet with the casual after-dinner chatter. If you get to know us better, of course it is a different story.
