A Garden Enclosed Part 1

"A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed." (Son 4:12)

Here we have another verse from the bible that might sound strange to modern Christian ladies, especially since having a career of their own is so very common nowadays among them, which makes them anything but "inclosed", "shut up", or "sealed". In fact, it might even sound frightening to some women, since it indicates isolation from the world as such. This thought is indeed very uncommon nowadays, it seems.

Well, what a pity that it is. Instead of being afraid and shocked by such a phrase (and quickly chalking it up to an antiquated paradigm, or brushing it off as "Old Testament stuff"), women nowadays should mourn the fact that they will hardly find a man anymore who would take his responsibility seriously and indeed allow them the luxury of separation from the world, of staying at home with the children instead of having to sell themselves to some employer, of being protected and safe instead of out there alone, unprotected and potential prey to the most dangerous creature on earth: so called fellow human beings.

So let me tell you about the freedom of being indeed an inclosed garden for your husband alone:
