Complete Commitment"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord." (Eph 5:22) A very important part of her commitment is complete honesty and openness with her husband. She promises not to hide anything from him, neither inwardly or outwardly, to be completely free from fear or secretiveness or lies (Psa 51:6). Only if her conscience is clean and her hands are pure, she can give her all to him, holding nothing back. In the biblical family, she is the one who runs the home. Her husband can trust her in every respect. Her responsibility is first of all to support him in his responsibility for the children and the well-being of the family, but she also exercises good stewardship over all the belongings and assets the family has. She gives her all to fulfill her part as the keeper of the home, not being careless or squandering nor thoughtless with neither resources nor money nor time. This way, she actively participates in bringing about the main goal of the family as a whole, to build the Kingdom of God on earth, joyfully and trustfully submitting herself into her husband's loving hands and care and good judgment. (Titus 2:4-5, Pro 31:10-31) "A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed." (Son 4:12) |
